The passing of Rob contributed to basically everything I wrote down. It was my interpretation of what I thought it would be like after Tom goes to London and wins a Gold Medal. I didn’t expect much out of it, but I knew London wasn’t going to be Tom’s peak and I used that to intertwine with reality of if he couldn’t dive any more after London. So reality and the passing of Rob really inspired me to write it since I had started a few days after.
